Today is my Mamma's birthday and I have decided to do a post about the woman who raised me.
Where do I start... My Ma and I have not had the easiest of relationships but I have noticed as I have gotten older I appreciate her a lot more. She is not the most affectionate of people but in her own way she has been there for me, even though a lot of times I never saw it.
She taught me to write, to read and how to bake. She showed me the world isn't an easy place and made a lot of sacrifices.
Today is her birthday and I spent all day thinking about this woman who I call my Ma and it is now at 25 at I finally have started to understand the strength that she has, the wisedom that she posses and most importantly I finally appreciate her.
I would be lost without this woman and I hope that one day I have the same strength, grace and level of humility that she has displayed and continues to do so.
So to my Mamma, Happy Birthday and even though I have never said it I love you to the moon and back.
You are an amazing woman and so incredibly strong and brave. Thank you for been there for me and for putting up with me for all those times I was a pain in the ass and a downright bitch.
